Cauliflower 'Igloo'

Cauliflower 'Igloo'

Cauliflower 'Igloo' is a compact, early-maturing variety that’s perfect for gardeners working with limited space. Its neat growth habit allows for close planting, making it ideal for raised beds, containers, or tightly spaced rows. Despite its small footprint, 'Igloo' produces uniform white heads with excellent flavour and texture.

Seeds can be sown indoors as early as February and kept under glass until they are ready to be gradually hardened off and moved outside from April to June. Alternatively, sow seeds 2cm deep directly into the ground in spring. Thin outdoor sowings to 7-10cm apart before transplanting them in their final growing site, leaving around 45cm between plants in fertile, moisture-retentive soil. Igloo Cauliflowers should be ready to harvest between July and November, depending on sowing time.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced grower, Cauliflower 'Igloo' offers a dependable crop that fits seamlessly into any garden plan. Its tidy form, quick turnaround, and crisp curds make it a favourite for those seeking quality and convenience with minimal fuss.
