Hydrangea 'Grandiflora'

“Grandilflor” is a spectacular variation of Hydrangea. This varietal has billowing clusters of mophead flowers. These clusters form on racemes or stalks and are overloaded with blooms, to such a degree that the branches lower due to the weight. They have serrated, obovate-shaped leaves which are of a dark green colour.

Of course, these plants are well regarded for their wonderful blooms, which can be used in flower arrangements, as well as dried and kept. They are also valued for their ability to contribute to the overall beauty of a mixed hedge row.

Valued for its hardiness, it can tolerate even colder temperatures than other Hydrangeas. As well, these plants work well growing on their own to becoming a full-sized bush or tree.

Although these plants can tolerate sunny areas, they prefer partially shaded positions. This better allows the ground to remain moist and cool. As such, mulching is recommended. It is important to keep their environment well-watered and well-drained.
