Philadelphus 'Virginal'

This plant offers both hardiness and beauty. During the flowering season of late-spring to mid-summer, the blooms are amazing. They arrive in bunches on panicles or racemes. The leaves will turn into beautiful yellows and golds in later autumn. And as it is a deciduous shrub, it will eventually lose its leaves in preparation for winter. It is also hardy and will easily survive winter. It should be mulched in the spring with a rich mix of organic material.

Aphids can present as a pest problem. And it can also be affected by a powdery mildew.
